Garden mural entitled The Journey by ATADesigns
The idea of painting a garden mural started off as a small personal project I’d set for myself. This is something I’d always wanted to do, so I’m now revealing to you the other creative side of me, Annette Taylor-Anderson, the painter. I started off by painting a mural on my garden brick wall two years ago. Now, I have extended the idea and painted a mural on my garden fence, very challenging indeed. As many of you know my background is in fine art, so I have no fear of painting a large area. In fact, I couldn’t wait to put paint to paint brush and paint away. First, I did a bit of research to find out what kind of paint to use on wood, as I would need something that’s long-lasting. Then, to find the right kind of wood to use for panelling, wood that would withstand all weathers.
The mural is split into wooden panel sections which makes it easier to export from the builder’s yard. Each panel is treated, and then finally painted with a design.
There are 3 mural panels inspired by my travels on London’s Underground. There’s so many really interesting situations, people, features etc. All inspiring ideas, its endless. The mural designs are entitled:
The Journey Garden Mural – Inspired by my journey on London’s Underground
Rush Hour Garden Mural – Inspired by my journey on London’s Underground
The Announcement Garden Mural – Inspired by my journey on London’s underground.
Reading Room – Inspired by the library
