“I was commissioned to design a series of canvas prints for the opening of the Knowledge Dock Business centre. It was a pleasure meeting the Queen” Annette Taylor-Anderson
Hanging Around Annette’s striking circular designs come to the HotHatch Gallery.
“The latest artist to exhibit her work at the HotHatch Gallery is UEL Textile Design and Surface Decoration graduate, Annette Taylor-Anderson.
Since graduating in 2005, Annette has been busy setting up her company ATADesigns (Annette Taylor-Anderson Designs). In 2006, she showcased some of her work at various trade shows such as “one Year On”, the prestigious New Designers exhibition where she was among 50 fresh new design talents from various design discipline backgrounds selected by a panel including design author, journalist and curator, Max Fraser.
The impact of Annette’s work has even led to her appearing in several magazines such as Design Week,Textiles, Newdesigns magazine, WGSN website and Trendease International website.
Annette’s main focus is on products for the wall space, whether it be in the home or corporate places such as offices, hotels, bars, restaurants, shop windows and architectural spaces. Some of her pieces can be seen at Knowledge Dock, Cass Business School and in the near future, TBWA and Zetters Hotel.
Annette, who is currently working with experts from the Knowledge Dock HotHatch and FabPad on developing and commercializing a new range of wall furnishings and ceramics, describes her unique designs as a bridge between fine art and textiles. Her design collections are produced as contemporary interior hangings (digitally printed on to fabrics such as cotton drill or canvas, stretched on to a frame), and bespoke interior/exterior ceramic wall tiles.
You can view Annette’s work at Pulse, Earls Court 3-5 June 2007.”
