Paint Jam London Kicks off in Soho
We certainly let our creative juices flow at Paint Jam London
I first heard about “Paint Jam London” only a few days ago on Facebook. I immediately had to share this event, as it looked like a fun event to attend this weekend.
Well, I went last night, and it was a lovely evening, with a fantastic host, Dalia Zermon (Paint Jam London founder & Visual Artist) and her team. We had DJ music, nibbles and drink, getting to know each other. This is a a great way to learn a little about art in a very relaxed social environment, and you don’t even have to be an artist, so there’s no pressure. I’d say that there must have been around 50 people, so there’s plenty of time to socialize, bop to the music and have a laugh or even sing. We were definitely singing to some 80s tunes last night. The DJ was certainly rocking.
Last night’s theme was about abstract art. Dalia gave us a little in site into the history of abstract art. We started off making marks on paper using different coloured chalk, and then developing the drawings by adding paint. Finally, we created our masterpiece paintings. We were able to take our paintings home afterwards. How cool is that!
What I liked about the workshop, is that it allowed you to be free with your painting, let yourselves go without any structures, or planning.
All I can say..it was fun! fun! fun!
Paint Jam London is such a great idea. Thank you Dalia, the DJ and the team for a tremendous evening.
