Mural Painting design feature
Mural Painting – Well Hello! by Annette Taylor-Anderson
I decided to create another mural painting in my flat. This time, the new mural is featured in one of the smaller rooms. Although the room is quite small, the size of the mural gives the room extra height. It’s a creative room, so the mural fits in quite nicely.
The name “Well Hello” popped into my head while painting the mural. There’s no real story behind the name except that it works with the design. The mural is inspired by London’s coffee culture, a continuous project of mine. I spend a lot of time in coffee shops drawing and studying people, it’s a great place to people watch and see life. I like to capture interesting features in my drawings that can be translated into paintings later on. My sketchbooks are full of ideas for murals, and I have created my own particular style which I hope you like.
I am currently working on the possibility of publishing my drawings in a book for the future, once I have decided which drawings to use. To be honest, I love drawing so much that I can’t stop…do you get the same feeling too?
- Pencil or pen for sketching design on the wall freestyle
- System 3 Acrylic Paint
- Paintbrushes – various sizes (a mixture of large and small brushes)
